IDSST at TUM —
learn to read the output,
not just run the code.

Introduction to Data Science and Statistical Thinking — the exam is paper-based. You read R output, interpret plots, and structure statistical arguments. We build exactly those skills. 100% online.

Sound familiar?

😓

The exam throws dense regression and logistic regression output at you — knowing which numbers matter and what they mean is the core skill.

😤

Hypothesis testing requires a precise written structure — most students lose marks by understanding the concept but writing the answer incorrectly.

🤯

Interpreting diagnostic plots (residuals, Q-Q, ROC) feels abstract without enough worked examples.

😰

The course covers a lot of ground — probability, regression, model selection, inference — and it's hard to know where to focus.

Why Cubic Crew

We passed the exact same exams. That's what makes this different.

Teesha brings real research experience — PhD-level data analysis, clinical trials, and years of teaching R and statistics to graduate students.
The exam is paper-based: we train you to read and interpret R output, not just run it — regression tables, logistic regression, diagnostic plots.
Hypothesis testing is the backbone of the exam — we drill the structure until writing a correct answer becomes automatic.
Heavy focus on chart and plot interpretation — histograms, boxplots, residual plots, Q-Q plots all appear regularly in the exam.
Materials updated every semester to reflect the current exam format and professor style.
Small groups of up to 15 students mean questions get answered in every session.

Common questions

The exam is paper-based — you read and interpret R output rather than writing or running code yourself. We teach you what the output means and how to answer questions about it correctly.
Reading regression and logistic regression output, hypothesis testing with correct written structure, interpreting diagnostic plots (residual, Q-Q, ROC), probability and distributions, and model selection concepts like AIC, cross-validation, and sensitivity/specificity.
Paper-based, 90 minutes, around 8 problems worth 34 credits total. You are allowed a calculator and a cheat sheet included in the exam. No laptop, no running R.
Yes — full recordings of all group sessions are included.
Yes — we'll share recordings of any missed sessions so you can catch up at your own pace.
Sessions are taught in English.
We adapt our programme every semester to reflect the current professor's exam style and focus areas.
